Prince George’s Community Arts Council has announced the 2020 Studio Fair has been officially cancelled, at least in its usual format.
The decision comes as a result of the global health crisis.
PG’s Studio Fair has been a signature arts event in the region for 44 years, and last year’s show saw 12,000 people attend over three days.
It is the largest artisan show of its kind in Northern BC, and functions as the major annual fundraiser for the Prince George & District Arts Council/Studio 2880.
As an alternative to the live event, the Community Arts Council is considering creating a Studio Fair online marketplace but will be carefully assessing needs and viability.
The event will be fully returning in 2021 from November 5th to 7th.
