“Freedom Rally” held in PG in response to COVID-19

Despite the Restart BC Plan formally kicking off following this long weekend, a few Prince George residents aren’t happy about the government’s response to COVID-19.

About 25 individuals gathered at the intersection of Massey and Westwood Drive to protest in what has been called a “Freedom Rally”.

“I believe the sick and the weak, and those that live with them, should stay home and the healthy should go out and about as they want,” said attendee Ray Chartrand.

Signs at the event bore slogans such as: “5G Kills”, “End the LockDown”, and “Trudeau Must Go!”

The rally comes despite concerns of a COVID-19 case in Prince George.

Northern Health has had 58 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
