36 homes in the Chilako River area have been placed on Evacuation Alert by the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.
This is in addition to the 40 residences put on evacuation order yesterday (Thursday).
The alert was issued in response to concerns about high water and potential flooding in the area.
Those affected should take necessary precautions and prepare to leave their homes should the Alert change to an Evacuation Order.
