Flood Watch issued for Cariboo and Chilcotin by Emergency BC

The Emergency B.C. River Forcast Centre has issued a Flood Watch for the Fraser Plateau this morning (Sunday).

A Flood Watch means that river levels are rising and will approach or may exceed bank-full. Flooding of areas adjacent to affected rivers may occur.

The warning includes lakes and streams around Prince George, Williams Lake, Nazko, Quesnel, Anahim Lake, Alexis Creek and Cache Creek.

The public is advised to stay clear of the fast-flowing rivers and potentially unstable riverbanks during the high-streamflow period.
