Fort St John RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on the Alaska Highway, just north of the intersection with Highway 29, last night (Tuesday) just before 9:00.
While heading north on the Alaska Highway, the driver lost control while passing another vehicle and rolled over in a ditch filled with water.
The vehicle was submerged in water on the southbound side of the road.
Prior to police arriving on-scene, passing motorists removed the driver from the vehicle and revived them roadside.
The driver was then transported to hospital and later flown to Prince George in stable condition.
Fort St. John RCMP are still investigating the incident, and thanked the actions of motorists who saved the life of the driver.
The full release can be found online.
