The City of Prince George is opening the Canada Games Plaza washrooms for the use of downtown residents and visitors as the Covid-19 pandemic continues.
Following the closures of multiple civic facilities downtown, bathroom options for marginalized individuals have been limited.
The bathrooms will be staffed by the POUNDS Project Society and are trained in crisis management, therapeutic communication, conflict resolution, as well as overdose response and reversal.
The monitored washrooms will be open daily from 5:00 am to 10:00 am and from 7:00 pm to midnight.
