A 42-year-old Prince George man was arrested just after 7:30 am today (Sunday) following a break and enter that saw portions of 3rd and 4th avenue and Brunswick street closed for five hours.
The man was arrested with the help of a police dog service team, then taken to hospital for treatment for minor wounds, before being taken back to the detatchment.
Just after 4:00 this morning the Prince George RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at a business on the 1400 block of 3rd avenue.
Frontline officers arrived on the scene quickly to find an adult male suspect attempting to flee on foot, but he ran back into the business.
Due to safety concerns, the NorthDistrict RCMP’s Emergency Response Team was called in to assist.
He will be held in custody overnight and will appear in court by teleconferencing tomorrow (Monday).
The investigation is continuing.
