Prince George City Council will be receiving a report on alternate ways to move forward with meetings in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic at this week’s meeting.
The proposed changes include: allowing all council members to attend meetings by phone, discontinuing certain informal hearings, allowing public attendance at meetings only for formal hearings, allowing the Mayor to change the start time of meetings or cancel them entirely depending on the agenda and cancelling in person delegations.
Meetings will continue to be live-streamed.
Prince George Liquor Box has submitted a Cannabis license, allowing them to sell both cannabis and alcohol on site.
However, the RCMP is concerned about the location, worried they won’t be able to respond to calls in a timely manner.
Lastly, is a rezoning application from the Elizabeth Fry Society.
The society is planning on creating a not for profit transition house for women, and women with children.
