The YMCA of Northern BC celebrated its 2020 Strong Kids Campaign last Thursday (March 12).
The program helps families with a financial need to access YMCA services in their communities.
As part of the reception, the 2019 donor wall was unveiled and guests were given an update on this year’s campaign.
The organization has set a fundraising goal of $60,000 and the YMCA is now halfway to that total.
“It was so great to see so many people come out to celebrate our annual campaign, and to see so many people come out to support our annual campaign, and to raise $30,000 dollars over the past month is a really great outcome!” said YMCA of Northern BC CEO Amanda Alexander.
The Prince George Family Y hosted its fifth annual MEGATHON fundraiser, gathering 75 participants and raising $10,000.
Fundraisers for the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign occur throughout the year in addition to continued donations.
