Former Prince George Spruce Kings captain and University of Alaska-Fairbanks player Chad Staley has passed away.
His death was announced today (Tuesday) by his family and on the team’s social media pages.
Staley played with the Spruce Kings for three seasons, from 2012-2015, tallying 60 goals, 87 assists in 173 regular season BCHL games, and 14 points in 21 playoff games.
The Kennewick, Washington forward also played for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, collecting 55 points in 127 games.
The cause of Staley’s death is unknown at this time.
Staley’s mother, Pam, has set up a GoFundMe for memorial costs.
