The Prince George RCMP are looking for a suspect after a report of a sexual assault on Friday, February 21st, just before midnight in the area of 11th Avenue and Winnipeg Street.
According to police, the woman was walking her dog when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted by an unknown male assailant, who then fled in a vehicle.
The suspect has not been identified, and investigators are asking for the public’s help.
The attacker is described as:
· Caucasian male;
· Approximately 6’0″ to 6’5″;
· 200 lbs;
· Broad shoulders and muscular upper body;
· Skull tattoo on the back of his right hand;
· Wearing a tight fitted black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and heavy work boots.
The vehicle is described as:
· Black or dark coloured four-door sedan;
· Roof rack with bike attachments;
· LED headlights;
· White or silver rims;
· Dual exhaust;
· Alberta license plate.
There is no indication that the victim and attacker were known to each other.
“We are concerned, in the circumstances of what lead to it, and certainly we would warn the public to use caution especially at night. Try not to go anywhere by yourself,” said Corporal Craig Douglass.
Anyone with exterior cameras in the area of 11th Avenue and Winnipeg Street or anyone that may have witnessed something, are asked to contact investigators at 250-561-3300.
