Prince George residents came to show their support for the second annual ‘Duck Drop ‘ held today (Sunday).
Over 300 of a possible 800 ducks were sold as a fundraiser for pediatric care, held by PG’s Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

Despite this year’s total number not quite stacking up to last years 400, Spirit of the North Healthcare is still happy with the turnout.
“It’s always such a fun day, it really, really is. I think it’s just something that the community can embrace,” said Judy Neiser, the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation CEO.
“What’s more fun than watching ducks flying out of a helicopter then hitting the target?” she laughed.
The ducks were being sold at several locations across Prince George, for $ 50 dollars apiece.
“It’s supporting the smallest patients in the north!” said Neiser.
After the ducks made their descent,  Prince George’s Jeannie Tasa took home the first prize of $2,000 with duck number 117, and Carla Tinney with number 229 won the second prize of $ 500.
