Point in Time (PiT) homeless counts have occurred in the city every second year since 2016, and look to track the often-shifting demographic of homeless people.
This year’s count is scheduled for April 15th.
Volunteers, in collaboration with Community Partners Addressing Homelessness, will conduct the survey over a 24-hour period, searching known camping spots, shelters, as well as on the street.
The announcement comes following after the growing concerns about homelessness in Prince George’s downtown core, and the recent renaming of the Safe, Clean, and Inclusive Community Committee.
