Following a 45 point performance over the weekend and securing her team a playoff spot, UNBC guard Madison Landry has been named the women’s Canada West first star of the week.
In the Timberwolves’ sweep of the Regina Cougars, the Duchess Park grad tallied a total of 13 rebounds and nine assists, lifting her team to eighth in the conference standings.
The 9-9 Timberwolves have extended their win streak to six games.
Landry played the entire game Friday as UNBC had only six players healthy enough to take to the court.
She also passed the 1,100-point barrier, moving her into third in team history.
Landry additionally broke the UNBC career assist record in the process.
The Timberwolves conclude their regular season at home season this weekend against MacEwan.
