The Prince George Community Foundation (PGCF) will soon be distributing over $100,000 throughout the province.
The money comes out of a collaboration between the Federal Government and the Community Foundation of Canada that resulted in an 18-and-a-half million dollar initiative.
PGCF has been made the regional partner of Northern BC for the Investment Readiness Program and will distribute the finances across social-purpose organizations in the North.
“Our plan is to disperse the money through Northern BC,” said Mindy Stroet, Director of Development for the PGCF.
“This is the first time that we’ve done a program like this, so we’re very excited to facilitate this for Northern BC,” she added.
