PG snowfall predicted to be followed by arctic chill

The weather in Prince George is expected to take a turn for the worse this upcoming week.

“Certainly the big picture is that there’s a weak storm for us on Tuesday, with intense storms for Thursday night through Friday including heavy amounts of snow,” said Environment Canada meteorologist, Doug Lundquist.

Relatively mild temperatures are expected for the first half of the week.

Moving into the weekend Lundquist predicts “deeper arctic air and temperatures touching into the minus twenties for highs.”

There is a potential for snowfall warnings, as 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected for the latter part of the week.
