The B.C. Ministry of Health has released its annual top ten list of most popular baby names.
Olivia tops the 2019 charts, followed by Oliver at a close second according to Public Affairs Officer Laura Stovel.
“It has always been an interest of people to know the popular baby names,” she said.
“Even myself as a parent, I look at the list.”
Other names on the list include Lucas, Liam, Ethan, Noah, William, Benjamin, Charlotte, Emma and Leo according to preliminary figures from January 1st to December 18th of 2019.
In 2018, Liam was the favourite for B.C. babies, followed by Olivia.
Names that appear five or more times are listed.
