Fewer than 8 hours of daylight for the solstice in PG.

December 21st marks the first official day of winter, as well as the winter solstice.

“Prince George will see sun from 8:27 until 15:51,” according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Eric Mak.

Mak specified that the 7-hour-and-24-minute day should be the shortest of the year and that residents will soon be seeing longer daylight hours.

Daily sunrise and sunset information, as well as weather updates, can be found on Environment Canada’s website.
