The winter holidays are among the busiest times of the year for airport staff, as passengers take to the skies to fly home or travel abroad.
Last December and January the Prince George airport saw “between 41,000 and 45,000 passengers,” according to President of YXS, Gordon Duke.
“We are preparing for the same volume although, as with most Canadian airports, there has been a slight drop in passengers for this year, particularly the last half of this year.”
Duke further warned passengers that they should prepare in advance for “a little bit longer wait times and lines for everything.”
Travellers should get to the airport two hours early to avoid any delays.
