Operation Red Nose Prince George’s first weekend a humble success.

Prince George’s Operation Red Nose (ORN) had a relatively quiet first weekend, with 98 rides given to passengers over two nights.

These numbers are down from last year’s 216 rides offered.

“Parties were just getting underway last weekend, so we think that’s probably why it was a little slower than usual, ” explained Public Relations Chair Andrea Andrea Johnson.

“We’re hopeful that people found alternative ways home, and that they’re getting the message that driving home impaired is not a good idea, especially during the holiday season,”.

Operation Red Nose is still looking for more volunteers and encourages those interested to apply on the organization’s website.

ORN will continue to offer rides on Friday and Saturday nights between 9 P.M. and 3 A.M. until December 22nd, as well as on New Year’s Eve.

Those looking for a safe ride home can call 250-962-7433.
