PG under Air Quality Advisory

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health issued an Air Quality Advisory for Prince George on Sunday due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter.

This advisory remains in effect until further notice.

Meanwhile, Environment Canada anticipates that Prince George’s weather will hover near seasonal averages at the start of the week.

Daily high temperatures should stay just below zero, with overnight lows potentially dipping into the double-digit negative numbers.

There may be an increase in cloud cover due to a “weak frontal system coming in from the West, from over the Pacific,” according to meteorologist Dave Wray.

Wray further explained that snow flurries are expected for Prince George Monday and Tuesday.
