Watch out for counterfeit American $50 bills

RCMP have recently received counterfeit currency reports from retailers in Prince George.

American $50 bills have been the primary denomination being passed.

According to police, although it has yet to be confirmed, these incidents are similar to a string of reports throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and the southern interior of BC.

RCMP are asking retailers in Prince George and area to use extra caution when receiving American currency as payment.
