PG residents might be in store for a relatively mild winter according to The Weather Network.
Meteorologist Doug Gillham cites warm water in the Pacific Ocean as the cause for the predicted warmer weather. Prince George can expect above-normal conditions, close to a typical winter but “tipped to the mild side of normal”.
Gillham called the weather “weak El-Niño conditions”, specifying that the case was “borderline – not enough to fully meet criteria”.
While day-to-day temperatures will vary substantially, larger trends should indicate a tilt towards mildness in this season’s winter weather.
