Prince George is being hit with more snow than expected, Monday.
After forecasting four centimetres in total for Monday, Meteorologist Matt MacDonald says that amount has already fallen in the city.
“We’re expecting an additional two to four centimetres Monday afternoon and into the evening as well,” he says, adding up to around eight to 10 centimetres.
City crews have been out since Sunday night clearing priority routes.
Today, crews are clearing streets from 15th Avenue out to Edward Road in the Hart, and properties on the West side of Highway 97.
During tonight’s snow and clearing shift, crews will focus on main routes through the downtown core.
There are no major incidents on DriveBC, while the PG Airport is reporting a couple of delays from Vancouver and Terrace, though overall flights are on-time.
