WHL: (PG Cougars)
Victoria Royals 3 Prince George Cougars 2 (SO)
The Prince George Cougars (4-12-0-2) battled back from a 2-0 deficit late in the third period against the Victoria Royals on Friday night, forcing overtime, but eventually losing in the fourth round of a shootout.
An epic comeback cut short in the skills competition, but a much needed point regardless. Rematch tomorrow, same time same place, for heroes night!#NorthernUprising #WHL pic.twitter.com/BR2LEI1qQD

The Cougars have just one win in their last nine games to fall seven points behind the (8-7-1) Royals for a wild-card playoff spot.
PG is also three points back of the (5-8-2-1) Seattle Thunderbirds and six back of the (7-7-2) Spokane Chiefs.
The Cougars will hope to earn three of a possible four points when they square off against the Royals again tonight from the CN Centre (7:00 p.m.)

With issues surfacing with his release from his KHL club, Import Vladislav Mikhalchuk was unable to suit up for the Cougars on Friday.
The PG Cougars are hoping to have him in the lineup for tonight’s game with the return of their leading scorer from the 2018-19 season.
