New down-town building on schedule to open this summer

Expect a new building in Prince George’s down-town core to be opened later this summer
The BC Government and Services Employee Union’s new office building is on schedule with an expected price tag of $6.98 million.
Union President Stephanie Smith says the new building will utilize sustainability.
“And good paying unionized jobs in construction,” says Smith, “so we are happy about that and as I said its on schedule.”
Smith says this will be a regional office that will be open to all BCGEU members.
The City of Prince George has given the union 50% off the assessed land value for the building on Quebec and 5th Avenue.
