Firearms stolen in Break and Enter

Prince George RCMP is still investigating into a theft at a residence yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The police received a report of a residential break and enter at a home on Summit Street, near the intersection of Ospika Boulevard and Rainbow Drive in Prince George.

Sometime during the day, the police believe that one or more suspects forcibly entered the home and removed a large gun safe that was secured to a wall. Three handguns and one long gun were secured in the safe at the time of the theft.

Investigators believe that the residence and the safe was targeted by the suspect(s) in order to steal the firearms. The culprit(s) were likely in the residence for a considerable amount of time while they worked to remove the safe. The investigation is continuing.
