Northern Fancon is a go

Today was the last day for Northern Fancon to raise the money they needed to run this year and that goal was reached.

Last month event organizer Norm Coyne announced that they would need to raise $100,000 in 30 days and planned to do so through a Kickstarter campaign which allowed prospective attendees to purchase ticket packages, pledges, booths, and sponsorships.

The fundraiser came down to the wire today (Sunday), at 10:58 am, with just two hours to the deadline, they still needed to come up with $1188. Twelve minutes later they only needed $143.00.

At 11:18 Northern Fancon announced the goal has been reached.
