42 community projects across Northern BC have been awarded funding grants through Northern Health’s Imagine program.
The program is in collaboration with Canada Winter Games legacy program and saw almost $150,000 worth of grants handed out today.
Health Services Administrator Anne Chisholm says the grants are all about supporting active living, “We know that health happens in the communities where people live, work, learn and play. We believe that the prevention of chronic disease is everyone responsibility.”
A few grant recipients in Prince George include Pineview Youth Baseball, the PG Cycling Club and the Tabor Mountain Recreation Society.
