A battle of metal steeds taking place at CN Centre

Crashes are highly likely at this weekends Xtreme ice races.

The event pits riders against each other in a battle of two wheeled champions who have nothing but a helmet and little body protection keeping them from the dangers of man and bike.

The bikes hit 0-60 in about three seconds, meaning it takes someone very special to handle such an unpredictable machine. Anthony Barlow, is a World Champion of the sport – and says they are always looking for interested new members:

“It’s a really cool sport we’ve got riders from all over the world competing. We’ve got a local guy called Sean Venables and we’ve got all the guys from Cycle North Powersports. We are looking for a few more guys if they’re interested, just contact cycle North or the radio station and they will give you my number”

The Xtreme ice racing event takes place at the CN Centre this Sunday at 2pm.

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
