The Prince George Fire Department had 14 crew members out on the 2700 block of Pulp Mill road this afternoon (Tuesday) for a number of spot fires along a railway track.
First arriving crews found several grass fires along a 1/2 kilometre stretch of the CN Railway tracks on both sides.
Deputy Fire Chief Cliff Warner said they utilized two different halls in their response.
“The investigation is still underway, we’re not certain what caused the fires, but they’ve all been extinguished and our crews have returned to the hall.”
