The Prince George RCMP are investigating a reported theft from Ecole Franco-Nord.
According to police, the incident occurred on the 2600 block of Ellison Drive on Tuesday morning (June 4th).
Sometime overnight, the climbing wall portion of the school’s playground was removed and taken.
“It’s really unfortunate that somebody out there has taken it upon themselves to steal a piece of playground equipment from a local school and in this case, it’s a climbing wall on Ellison Drive here in Prince George,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass in an interview with MyPrinceGeorgeNow.com
He adds the detachment is still trying to figure out the motive on why this was taken.
“It doesn’t seem like something that would be targeted. We at this point, aren’t sure if it was targeted or if this was possibly a prank or somebody that decided something spontaneously.”
Investigators are asking the public to help locate this item.
