Two Wednesday morning shootings in PG

Prince George RCMP are looking for tips after two early morning shootings in the city.

Just before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday police received a report of shots fired on the 2100 block of Tamarack St., the same residence that was shot just over a week ago.

Police arrived to find fresh gun shot holes in the residence, though they say no one inside the home was injured, including two children.

Around this time, police were also responding to a shots fired call on the 2200 block of Norwood St., only a few blocks away.

Police say this residence is not known for violent activity, and the residents were unharmed inside.

Given the short time frame between these two incidents, police believe they are connected.

Officers from the Detachment’s Serious Crime, Forensic Identification and General Duty Sections are investigating.

They ask anyone with information to contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only), or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword “pgtips”.
