Although the injuries were serious, the victim is expected to survive.
Yesterday (Wednesday), at about 3 p.m., Kamloops RCMP were alerted to a stabbing incident at the Northbridge Hotel, located at 377 Tranquille Road.
When police arrived on the scene, investigators found a 34-year-old man from Prince George suffering from multiple wounds and bleeding profusely. First Aid was provided at the scene until EMS attended, where the man was then transported to a medical facility.
“There were several third-party witnesses on this case. When combined with nearby surveillance video, police identified several suspects and their vehicle immediately,” said Staff Sergent Simon Pillay.
Within nine minutes after being dispatched to the incident, police were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle, which was a black 2013 Chevy Avalanche. The residence in which police found the vehicle was known to police.
Shortly after, four suspects were arrested in relation to the crime. Three men and one woman were taken into custody without any further incident.
36-year-old Jennifer Manual, 39-year-old Devon McConnell, and 33-year-old Derek Jensen, all of Kamloops, have been charged with one count each of aggravated assault.
24-year-old Evan Davis was also at the Linden Avenue location. While the RCMP do not believe Davis was involved in the assault, he was arrested on outstanding warrants.
The investigation is on-going.
