Traffic stop nets stolen handgun

Prince George RCMP are recommending drug and weapons charges against two people after a traffic stop on Friday morning.

During a traffic violation stop by a plain clothes officer at 9:55am, narcotics were found in a vehicle and a 23 year old male and an 18 year old female were arrested. The arrests occurred on Pine Street.

The male was also in possession of a loaded 9 millimetre handgun that was stolen from Vancouver in 2011.

RCMP are now recommending drug and weapons charges to Crown Counsel.
