The Cops for Cancer Tour de North rolled through Heritage Elementary this morning for a final send off on their way out of town.

They will be riding 850 kilometres over 7 days on their way to Prince Rupert.

The Commanding Officer of the RCMP in BC, Deputy Commissioner Craig Callens is joining the riders through to Vanderhoof.

“While I can’t set aside a full week, I try to join our members and the other first responders who participate in these rides to lend my support and express my appreciation for all the time and energy they put into not only the training and more significantly the fundraising.”

Callens says this is his third year taking part in Tour de North.
