Pink Shirt Day across the country is slated for February 24th.
Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Prince George is taking part to help combat the issue of bullying.
Executive Director, Tim Bennett says the role of the organization becomes even more important, due to the high bullying rates in Canada.
“I think bullying rates are increasing both provincially and nationally, our role is to provide a positive mentor in the child’s life for those being bullied and those who are the bully.”
Pink Shirts and Toques can be purchased for $10 each at their office at 777 Kinsmen Place, Save On Foods or at the Prince George Cougars game on Friday against the Red Deer Rebels.
