Prince George jumped out to an early 2-0 courtesy of goals from Kyle Johnson and Ryan Fritz.
Brett Stewart cut the deficit in half slipping one past Liam McCloskey.
A seeing eye shot by Connor Logan was whiffed on by Eagles goaltender Justin Laforest who was pulled after giving up 3 goals on 7 shots.
Surrey received a late marker from the point off the stick of Tyler Cooper making it 3-2 after 1.
The Spruce Kings scored four unanswered goals in the middle frame.
Kyle Johnson and Connor Logan got their second of the night while Cavin Tilsley and Jarod Hovde also lit the lamp for a 7-2 advantage when the buzzer sounded.
Prince George potted two more from Hovde and Braiden Epp while Gage Mackie scored a late goal for the Eagles.
Surrey defender Ludvig Adamsen received a five minute major after sucker-punching Spruce Kings forward Braiden Epp at center ice.
Johnson, Tilsley, Hovde and Matthew Steif had 3 points each for Prince George who also went 2 for 5 on the power-play.
Liam McCloskey stopped 23 shots in the victory.
